Orroroo is buzzing with whispers around town of reported sightings of a family of echidna’s, there have also been sightings on farms in the district including Bendleby Ranges. Echidna’s are very shy creatures and it is a very lucky (and perhaps quiet and persistent) person that ever gets to see one in its natural habitat!

If you are on your way out to Orroroo’s Magnetic Hill, make sure you slow down around Black Rock. A family of wombats have made their home in a local creek and often cross this part of the R.M. Williams Way at night.  Wombat’s are not native to the area so it is a mystery as to how this family got here?
