Join us for two days of mountain bike fun, adventure and excitement at the inaugural Southern Flinders Ranges “Tour Up Over”.

Load up your bike and head to Bendleby Ranges for the best scenery on a bike – beautiful gum lined creek beds, dramatic ranges and shimmering plains. Be one of the first to ride this magnificent working sheep property – social pleasure rides, a challenging time trial or the exciting Dirt Crit… the choice is yours!

With prizes and trophies for all events plus “All Round Champion”, the competition will be friendly but fierce!

The Program

Saturday 11 July 2009

9.30am to 12.30pm Social ride on a choice of tracks around the Bendleby Ranges
2.00pm to 4.00pm “Tour Up Over” time trial
A challenging 18km course following a scenic creek bed before ascending the Bendleby Range. Follow an old woodcutters track as you wind your way through dense pine with spectacular views.

… or take the short option of a 15km ride down Gum Creek Drive with stunning scenery and great rock formations.
7.00pm to 8.00pm Moonlight Ride

9.00am to 11.00am Southern Flinders Dirt Crit Championship Challenge
A novel, fun and challenging track providing excitement for riders and spectators alike!
12.30pm to 2.30pm Pleasure/social ride along the foothills of the Hungry Range.

Competition Entry Fees

$15 per person – Tour Up Over time trial
$15 per person – Dirt Crit Championship Challenge

$25 per person – Entry to both events

Register on the day at the ‘race start area’. Alternatively, email Geoff Slee or Jane Luckraft to register and then pay on the day.

During the “Tour Up Over” you’ll have free access to a range of tracks taking in the stunning scenery on Bendleby Ranges. Choose from easy social rides to challenging double track.

Dirt Crit A Grade 35 minutes plus 1 lap
B Grade 30 minutes plus 1 lap
C Grade 25 minutes plus 1 lap
D Grade 20 minutes plus 1 lap
E Grade 15 minutes plus 1 lap

Presentations of trophies and prizes will take place immediately after each event.
