Crutching at Moorillah is nearly finished...

We thought you might like to see some pictures of crutching this year! Above are Tige, Corky, Chris and Pud hard at work in the woolshed at Moorillah!

And below are some lambs post ‘crutching’ – very cute!

You’ll notice in the background some heavy cloud. Yesterday was a very cold day with a few light showers passing over intermittently – nothing too much in them though unfortunately!

For those of you who don’t know, ‘crutching’ is when the wool from around the sheep’s bottom is shorn (and also the top of their head to stop the wool growing in their eyes) to help prevent blow fly/maggot infestation in the warmer months. Sounds a little icky but a definite necessity up here!
