Story of a Rain Gauge!

Photopoint 18/6/08

We have had a few spots of rain here today and as my husband is an ‘ideas man’ preoccupied with rain (as all good pastoralists and those in the rural industry are) he has suggested we have a section on our blog dedicated to showing those of you out there what our landscape looks like each month via a photo point (aka the top of the rain gauge looking North East towards Hannigan’s Gap). Quite clever really! Here is the first one.

Last year was a particularly bad year rainfall wise and a couple of weeks ago we received about 37mm spread over a few days. You should be able to just see a little feed ‘post’ germination! Fingers crossed next month we will have alot more happening on the rain gauge photo point!

Stay tuned…
