Photo Point 08/07/08

It has tried several times over the past week to rain but alas, nothing substantial to report – a meager 20 or so points over a few days. Better than a kick in the pants!!!

I am getting a little annoyed when I hear reports over the radio & TV that the recent rains over South Australia have provided some much needed relief for agriculture in SA. WHAT ABOUT THE PASTORALISTS???? Apparently we don’t rate a mention. Does the care factor drop to zero when rain falls North of cropping regions…shame on you weather announcers! We are still very much in the grips of drought and the continued poor rainfall will see us there for sometime…but I guess as long as the Cocky’s are getting rain SA is doing ok?!

P.S. We don’t begrudge any one receiving rain, the more the merrier, but we should remember the State doesn’t end at Goyder’s Line!
