Moolooloo Station, Flinders Ranges
| Further North of Nuccaleena Cottage and Orroroo are Moolooloo and Moorillah Stations. These make up a family owned and operated sheep station, consisting of 609 square kilometres. Moolooloo is nestled 20km NW of Blinman and 30km NE of Parachilna in the heart of the Flinders Ranges. It is approximately 70km North of Wilpena Pound and 550km North of Adelaide. Moolooloo's attractions include, historic Nuccaleena Copper Mine, Hannigan's Gap, Public Access Routes, Aboriginal carvings, gorges, natural springs, and mountainous terrain. These local tourist attractions are easily accessible by 4WD. |  |
| The Moolooloo Shearer's Quarters can accommodate up to 20 peoplecomfortably. The Quarter's are situated on the picturesque banks of Moolooloo Creek, lined with magnificent red gums. Newly built family bathroom, toilets and showers provide modern creature-comforts whilst maintaining the bush experience. Rooms have been recently upgraded with new beds, mattresses and mats. The fully equipped kitchen has a large wood stove, gas stove, microwave and 2 large fridges. The dining room adjoining the kitchen is capable of seating large groups, ideal for conferences. There is a largeundercover slated area which suits outdoor eating and entertaining. There isalso a gas BBQ and wood fire box to warm up those cold starry nights. Shearer's Quarters power is supplied by a 240v generator. |  |
Blinman Hut accommodates 3 or 4 comfortably (No beds or bedding supplied). It is situated only 1hr, 4WD from the homestead and is nestled on a creek bank surrounded by hills and native pines. Exclusive access to guests offers a unique and quaintly serene experience. The Hut is also ideal for those larger camping/walking groups wishing to use the Hut for bathroom, kitchen and storage facilities. The Hut's amenities consist of a wood stove, sink, dining table, small amount of cutlery and crockery, indoor toilet and shower. An outdoor toilet is also provided. An outdoor BBQ and bonfire are available for the larger groups and the total camping atmosphere. The Hut is wired for 240v lighting, with the option of hiring a generator or b.y.o.
